Day 22 of 90: My 3 Crucial Things for a Product Launch
Welcome to day 22 of the 90-day challenge. This week my company launched the Smart Customizable Bundles for all users, and today I would like to share with you my 3 most essential points for a successful product launch.
1. Clear Expectations
The most important thing you need to define as a CEO for the entire company and the product launch is the expectations. What is the focus and what is not? It is crucial that not only the team internally but also the customers know what to expect. In our launch of the bundles, the main focus was on security. No funds should be lost, and the launch must go smoothly. To ensure this, we decided to initially launch only a mobile app version to get to market faster. It’s important to find a middle ground on which features work and which don’t to achieve the perfect mix.
2. Questioning Requirements
Another crucial point is that teams often adopt requirements that suddenly become truths without anyone knowing why. This can lead to major problems if you don’t regularly question why something is done a certain way. For example, we had a situation where certain coin combinations in the bundles were not possible due to earlier conditions. It turned out these conditions were no longer relevant. Therefore, it is essential to constantly question and ensure that all requirements are sensible and current.
3. Clear Responsibilities
The third and critical point is clear responsibility. For each outcome, only one person should be responsible — no more, no less. This is particularly important for multidisciplinary tasks where multiple departments are involved. For example, when launching a new coin in a bundle, one person must take overall responsibility and ensure all involved teams are coordinated. This way, no tasks fall through the cracks, and the launch is successful.
Overall, these are my three most important tips for you. See you tomorrow for Day 23!
